Hello! I'm Sophie Kneebone. I'm a social worker, actor/improviser/comedian, and human woman from Melbourne, Australia who is currently based in Copenhagen.

In my creative life, I have been performing and writing comedy for fifteen years. I’m currently a proud (albeit somewhat absent while I’m living in Denmark) cast member of Murder Village: An Improvised Whodunnit. I’m an alumni cast member and a former co-Artistic Director of The Big HOO-HAA! Melbourne (Melbourne’s longest-running improvised comedy show), a founding member of Impromptunes: The Completely Improvised Musical and a cast member of ABC iView’s 'Written It Down' (winner: Best Collaboration, 2014 Online Video Awards). I've written, produced and performed in comedy shows all around Australia, including my two solo sketch shows, “Braveface” and “Because Scary”. Freelancing presented opportunities to do a lot of very fun and very random stuff, including hosting a TV show on Channel 31, spending a summer working in a hydraulics factory (ok, that might have been because I was 22 and broke) and leading a surprise flash mob at a conference for employees at a giant hardware chain.

A remarkably fine actress who pulls off all her characters with warmth, subtlety and good comic timing
